This weekened, San Antonio’s Museo Alameda, an affiliate of the Smithsonian, will be opening its doors to the public following several days of activities with influential Hispanic media. The Ford Fund has made significant contributions to the restoration of the museum, which is the center for Latino Arts & Culture.  Ford’s media actitivites included a private tour of the Museo, a walk around of the new Ford Taurus, a discussion with Ford Fund leadership about the company’s contributions to communities nationwide, and a business roundtable discussion with Cisco Codina.

On Sunday, ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” and Ford continue to “Edge Across America” in a promotion that provides one deserving family in each of the 50 states a new Ford Edge, and gives one grand prize winner an Extreme Garage Makeover to go with their Edge. The “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” design team has taken on the task of remaking a house in each of the 50 states over the next two seasons. Inspired by this idea, Ford is further spreading goodwill by soliciting inspirational stories from viewers and delivering a new Ford Edge, to a recipient in each state. The promotion runs through May 20 with links at www.ABC.com and http://www.edgeacrossamerica.com   Check out the next “Extreme Makoeover:  Home Edition” episode this Sunday night at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT.

On Monday, two new Ford Edge advertisements will debut during “American Idol.”  Building on the success of the Ford Challenge ads, the new spots take the competition head on.  Watch for the ads, entitled “Quieter than a Lexus” and “Faster than a BMW,” beginning Monday night.  The Ford Edge has quickly established itself in the CUV market and our new ads will help accelerate its momentum.
